Agents of Arachnos - The Morning After Hax topped off the mug with hot water, then carefully balanced it, his coffee, and a plate of scones in one hand while he grabbed a copy of the morning's paper in the other. Across the crowded breakfast room, the Baroness, clad in her Cookie Monster pants and a blue cardigan retrieved from the decimated hotel suite, sat curled up in a corner of the booth. She yawned as the web ninja maneuvered his way across the room and carefully set down his wares. It had been a long night. Her head was pounding from the aftereffects of the spider venom as Hax dropped with an exhausted plomp into the seat across from her. "What does the paper say about it?" she asked groggily.
Episode 29 - It's Almost Over ***** Outside the hotel, Lucia Riley stood staring at the white shell of webbing encasing the front entrance. Holding her mobile in one hand and a walkie-talkie in the other, her expression was hard and focused. The Messenger had been entranced by strong women before - his boyhood fantasy girl had been Lucy Lawless's character of Xena, Warrior Princess, a poster of whom was still on his bedroom wall - but there was something about the way Lucia handled herself that was unlike anything he'd ever imagined a woman could be. Sure, she was a secret agent of a government he was pretty sure was more out to pursue their own agendas than to protect and guide their people. Nobody was perfect. But as he watched her in action, the Messenger was conflicted about whether he more wanted to make love to her or craft himself a tin foil hat to block her from reading his inner thoughts. Given the way she seemed to stare through into his soul, it could go either way, which was slightly terrifying.
Episode 28 ***** "It's on a loop," Baroness said calmly. Her eyes narrowed as she considered the puzzle before her, her expression focused and calculating. She leaned casually on her makeshift fighting staff, eyebrow raised in thought as the horrendous creature inched ever closer. "Weird. It's almost like a binary language, in a way."
Agents of Arachnos Episode 26 ***** "Her real name is Vera Weaver," Shinzon read into the phone. "Goes by the code name 'Absinthe.' Leader of the female assassin squad known as the Black Widows...oh, this is interesting. 'The Black Widows are known to be nymphomaniacs, seducing and sleeping with their victims before they kill them. It is unclear whether this is a psychological issue, a cult-ish ritual requirement, or some combination thereof.'"
Episode 22 - The Calm Before The Storm ***** Bio was trying to rub some warmth back into Baroness's hands when the others finally arrived back at the suite. The room had been painfully quiet after Vampy left, so much so that Bio could hear the tapping of what he assumed must be heavy rain outside. Baroness's breathing was still labored, but it seemed to have evened somewhat from before. Still, he couldn't tell if her trembling was from cold or if the spider's toxins were affecting her nervous system. The storm outside seemed to be blocking his cellular signal as well, so he couldn't even pull up a Google search to see what kind of spider it was.
