Baron von Gosu
Attempting to scare you out of your seat each Sunday evening is Scott "Baron von Gosu" McCafferty, the host of The Ghost In The Podcast and the Twitch Let's Play series Baron Busts... Outside of his podcasts, Baron serves as content development manager for RCM and is involved with filming, video editing, and writing for various RCM projects. The author of four novels and a slew of short stories, he has extensive background in ghost hunting and loves all things horror. Proudly Irish, Baron will drink whatever is nearby, though his preferences tend toward Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy, Guinness, or Great Lakes Christmas Ale.
Justin "BiomedAlchemist" Mobley brings years of experience building and maintaining servers both as a hobby and from previous work in health systems engineering to his role as tech manager for RCM. He has hosted Shoutcast services for VTWProductions. Bio also provides technical advice for "new media" shows and is an occasional guest host on some RivalCast shows, such as the Doctor Who LiveCast, Far Afield, Death By Misadventure, and the Baron Busts... Twitch series, among others. Basically, if it's aired on RCM, Bio's had a hand in fixing it at one point or another.
Bio is currently one of the hosts for RCM's weekly podcast series RCM On Tap, alongside The Baroness and Killer McCoy, and a castmember for the Saturday D&D show Adventures in Adelmar. His non-tech interests include rabbits, topics involving the continent of Asia, pretending he's Matlock, and aiding in social justice by regularly explaining why Killer is wrong. Bio's beverage of choice is water.
Bubba Caleb's exploits at RCM are the stuff of legend. A cast member for Adventures in Adelmar and former co-host of WoW Uncensored, Bubba has a unique power of getting anyone to buy anything (most notably making Deededee to buy everything Steam has to offer). When he's not playing games, hanging in TeamSpeak, or tracking badass thunderstorms, Bubba enjoys soccer and playing his keyboard. His drink is a Buttery Nipple served in an Irish shot glass.
Known throughout Rivalcastia as the greatest tank ever in World of Warcraft, Scott "Deededee" Turner shares his cynical views on games he plays, and rages against all stupid people. A fan of RPG's and fighting games, Scott is RCM's Events Director and serves on the RivalCon planning committee. He streams throughout the week for the game streams Monday Night Bullshit and Internet Dad, and is game master for the Saturday D&D show Adventures in Adelmar. He has previously hosted the World of Warcraft related shows Sheep Moon and WoW: Uncensored along with his cohorts in anarchy, Valentine and Bubbacaleb, and is amazed people still go on and download those shows. One of the most easy-going guys you'll ever meet, he'll drink pretty much anything you hand to him with a toast to your health.

Matthew "Killer McCoy" Riley is the lead video editor for RCM and co-host for RCM's weekly podcast series RCM On Tap. A monthly contributor for the RCM Writing team, Killer is also a lead for RCM Creative, which produces skits and videos for the RivalCast Youtube channel and special projects for RCM's podcast shows. An IT contractor by day, those rare moments of downtime are spent participating in shooting competitions, acting as Varyar's in-game battle buddy, or enjoying the occasional cigar. He can most often be found sipping on two fingers of Glenfiddich.
Sean "Miggnor" Francis is a long-time gamer who loves the fantasy genre immensely. He is the author of the long-running fantasy fiction series The Fireside Tales posted here at Rivalcast, and is currently developing a video series that will focus on 3D computer modeling. One of his recent successes combined those two passions: a 3D model of his Fireside Tales protagonist, Valtyra, which has already taken 45+ hours of work and is almost complete.
Sean has been serving as assistant editor for RCM Writing since February 2016. A college student studying game development, Sean is an avid reader (his favorite book series being The Dresden Files) who loves drawing and 3D modeling. For his drink of choice, Sean says "You cannot go wrong with Diet Coke!"
Troy "Porkchop" Sparks is one of the gents gracing the airwaves Sunday nights on Far Afield. His interests include SCUBA diving, brewing beer, gaming, and general shenanigans. When giving the interview for this bio, Porkchop suggested putting a disclaimer for fans to download his photo in order to gaze at it offline, rather than overload the RCM servers with the insane amount of traffic it is sure to bring. He also wanted it noted that unfortunately for his hordes of female admirers (or male admirers, as he doesn't discriminate), Porkchop has "a lovely wife and a son who, without force, have stayed with me and generally loved me for me." Also, they live together in Hawaii, which is Hawaiian for "as close to Earthly paradise as you can get while still in the greatest country on the planet." Like Dee, Porkchop is a very laid back individual who will accept whatever drinks are offered, but his preferences run toward Guinness, whiskey, or Scotch.
When it comes to separating the wheat from the chaff in podcasting, there's no one better than Sayomara. Hosting not only Sunday night's Far Afield, but also the Doctor Who Livecast and Grand Old Podcast, this man constantly scours the deepest darkest recesses of podcasting to find only the finest gems for the RivalCast Media crown. Lover of space, Iowa, and of course his lovely wife, Sayo's drink of choice is Sprecher's root beer.
Hax doesn't believe in Twitter and will look at you disdainfully if you ask
Hax is RCM's resident web-ninja, both in-game and out. The creator and builder of the rivalcastmedia.com website, he shows an amazing amount of talent and patience considering the vague and nonspecific creative guidance given by Varyar. In fact, it is because of Hax's technical prowess that Varyar chooses to overlook the fact Hax is British. There is a rumor that he is feared by the Illuminati and may also be involved with international conspiracies, super-secret shadow councils, and even more super, secret-er death metal concerts, but attempts to verify this information have been met with blank stares from the flower delivery person sitting in the van across the street.
When not foiling villainous plots or ensuring that the various mechanizations of the site are playing nice with one another, Hax also contributes a monthly column (The Hax Perspective) through RCM Writing and evangelizes on the merits of adopting the Sith way of life. When drinking, he opts for British bitters.
Jen leads the RCM Writing team and acts as COO for RivalCast Media. She can be seen on-air each week as moderator of RCM On Tap and co-host of Ghost In The Podcast. Described by her peers as "the one to whom you go to get shit done," she's also an active part of RCM Creative, the PR team, running the RCM social media campaigns with Bio, and organizing community activities. Her written work on the site includes the RCM fan fic series, the weekly blog The Accidental Podcaster, various articles, moderating the pre-publication editing forum, and overseeing the written content that posts to the site. Often quoted saying "sleep is for the weak and the dead," Jen runs almost entirely on caffeine (Coca-Cola Life being her nectar of choice), though for a certain 60-ish minute timeframe on Friday evenings she opts also for a Smithwick's Red label.
Vampy Soultaker is the community manager for RivalCast Media. On stream, she is co-host of the Let's Play series Chaos Will Ensue, a cast member for the D&D show Adventures in Adelmar, and can be seen late nights throughout the week on her solo stream, Death By Misadventure. A member of RCM Creative, her work in Sim architecture has been seen on her own stream, as well as in the sporadic House of Rivalcast streams and more recently on the RCM Youtube channel under the header Vampy Builds. When not gaming, Vampy is very active with volunteer work, taking care of her menagerie of pets (including her two puppies, Mouse and Athena), reading, and trying to keep Varyar on track. She's been known to imbibe vodka mixed with cherry Kool-Aid.
Matt "Ray-Ray" Trayers, better known around RivalCast as Varyar, is the founder, chief executive officer, and noble leader of RivalCast Media. In addition to running the network, building ties to other podcasting groups, and generally performing amazing feats of badassery, the bearded one can be seen throughout the week streaming XCOM under the banner RivalCast Roughnecks. Outside of RCM, Matt spends a fair amount of time volunteering for charity work (as a former Marine and Eagle Scout, he is exceptionally proud of RCM's connection to the military charity Operation Supply Drop), running a sporting goods equipment empire, writing, and reading. His drink of choice is a closely guarded secret, lest his alien enemies try to kill him. [Editor's note: it's cherry Pepsi.]
VelvetDove was a long time community member before making her big splash into RCM as one of the co-hosts of the Saturday afternoon Let's Play series Chaos Will Ensue and the writer of the Sims soap opera blog Sims Saturday. Since then, Velvet has been coming into her own as a performer, having been in ensemble casts for both the summer show Of Dice and Dungeons and the new D&D campaign show Adventures in Adelmar and recently striking out on her own Saturday afternoon game stream, Girl Fight!
Her obsessions include World of Warcraft, watching ice hockey, and writing – in addition to Sims Saturday, she is also the author of several different RP blogs on other websites. Dove also makes a delicious strawberry jam and is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet (she swears she only has one self-imposed restraining order in effect at the moment). She tries to limit herself to water and the occasional Monster. However, if she finds herself with Southern Comfort or tequila, beware - excessive hugs and expressions of love will ensue!
